Randy Orton’s WWE Status

Randy Orton will wrestle Alberto Del Rio on Friday's SmackDown in a match to determine the #1 contender to World Heavyweight champion Sheamus. Del Rio wins that match, and will wrestle Sheamus at Night of Champions.There is word that Orton may be the special referee for that match.

Despite being one of WWE's bigger stars, Orton has been booked sparingly since his return from a wellness suspension. The reason for this is due to the fact that Orton will be leaving again to film 12 Rounds: Reloaded.
