Ziggler to face Del Rio in WrestleMania?

Sources report that the officials of the WWE might decide to make a face-off between Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio for WrestleMania 29, although this match may not be for the World Heavyweight Championship title that Del Rio currently holds.

Dolph Ziggler is seen to be one of the top upcoming wrestlers and possibly a top contender for the title. Ziggler has not been in too many matches to prove his worth.

Meanwhile, Alberto has stood his ground after winning the title from The Big Show in a Last Man Standing match.

Story behind Del Rio win

The new World HeavyWeight Champion, Alberto Del Rio, won the title from The Big Show in an Last Man Standing match. Reports suggest that Del Rio won the match to shoot Del Rio up as the new Mexican star, with Rey Mysterio not being around and Sin Cara turning out to be a disappointment.

Cara was ready to work this week, but was not used.

Apparently, the idea is to push Del Rio harder than Mysterio and Sin Cara to make a genuine Mexican draw out of him.

To achieve this, Del Rio was made to survive a ton of punishment before coming back to win the Last Man Standing stipulation, that was added to the match on SmackDown.

Del Rio had a dispute with upper level management last week and threatened to walk out. One source says Del Rio was frustrated with his spot, while a second said it wasn't that big a deal and that it was over a contract matter. Del Rio has no issues with income and could return to Mexico in high regard, meaning that he has a fair amount of leverage.A source in the company was skeptical about Del Rio's concussion, noting that he was out of No Way Out but worked on Raw, and believes the story was a work to cover the dispute.

Del Rio's threat to quit was mentioned by the Cranky Vince parody Twitter account on the day that it got shut down by WWE. The account was able to be shut down because it divulged legitimate company information, a breach of the social media platform's Terms of Service.
