Ryback taunts the Rock

Ryback

Seems like WWE fans are not the only ones waiting anxiously for The Rock’s return. The one-man wrecking machine, Ryback, is also happy that The Rock is making a return to Monday RAW.

Ryback has tweeted – “Let’s see if @therock is still cookin. Feeding Time. #FeedMeMore”

WWE To Tease Ryback & The Rock In A Segment

Press Conference To Announce A Major International Event At MetLife Stadium

F4Wonline.com is reporting there is a lot of talk within the WWE on whether they should actually have the match between CM Punk and Ryback happen on RAW January 7th.

The Rock is expected to be at RAW and the feeling is that WWE plans to tease some interaction with Ryback and The Rock.

One possible scenario is the build-up of the match all night and teasing that Ryback could beat CM Punk and go on to face The Rock at Royal Rumble.

Why Ryback-Punk Might Not Happen on 1/7

After it was reported that Ryback vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title would take place at the January 7th RAW, and even strongly teased by WWE at RAW and this week’s RAW tapings, word came out that the match might not happen after all.

Now we know why.

There is strong talk that the match won’t happen on January 7th because the idea is to milk Ryback vs. Punk for as long as they can without actually doing the match.

Eventually it will happen but officials really want Punk healed up because they have him set for a major WrestleMania 29 role.

They want to make sure he doesn’t come back and re-injure the knee, putting all Road to WrestleMania plans in jeopardy.

Ryback Talks WWE Title Match Cancellation and More

The cancellation of his match with CM Punk this Sunday at TLC

It’s unfortunate. I believe I’m going to be the WWE champion for many years to come a staple of the WWE. It’s just delaying the inevitable. I tend to focus on the positives.

When I destroy CM Punk I want him healthy. I know that time will come, but right now I get the next best thing and that’s feeding on The Shield and handing their guys their first loss in their first pay-per-view match, so I’m very excited about that.

What he hopes to accomplish by WrestleMania 30

It’s great to talk ahead. I focus on one day at a time, but my goal is to be WWE champion, World Heavyweight Champion.

My goal is to not just replace John Cena but blow John Cena out of the water. I’m very vocal about that. I want to beat John in all aspects of this thing  merchandise, fan base  because I believe I can.

WWE Still Planning on Punk vs. Ryback

WWE has confirmed that the Ryback vs. CM Punk WWE Title match will still be taking place, likely on an upcoming episode of RAW since Punk’s next pay-per-view match will be against The Rock at the Royal Rumble.

Punk is expected to be ready for the New Year’s Eve edition of RAW, which will be taped a few days earlier in Washington, DC. Still, WWE may not put Ryback vs. Punk on that show because it’s guaranteed to do a low rating.

The match may take place on the January 7th RAW, which goes head-to-head with the BCS Championship game. The January 14th RAW is possible but that may be too close to the Royal Rumble for Ryback to get his title shot. Either way, the match is scheduled to take place soon

WWE Locker Room Behind Ryback

Booker T revealed in PWTorch’s latest Podcast that Ryback has the support of the WWE locker room during his mega-push.

“Definitely, I think the locker room is rooting for him. He knows what the respect issue is in the business. He knows what that really, really means, and how far he’s going to go or not go.”

“He’s a humble kid. I do think the locker room is pulling for him to do well. The tale is going to be told after he goes out there in the big main event slot,” Booker said. “If he can pull that match up and pull that match together. If he can do that, his stock is going to go way up. If he goes out there and flops, it’s going to go way down. So, I look forward to Ryback going out there and being able to pull the job off. I really think he can get it done.”
