SmackDown opens with Alberto Del Rio’s fiesta for the World Heavyweight Title win.

Dolph Ziggler, Big Show and Sheamus end up interrupting.

Ziggler and Show vs. Del Rio and Sheamus is announced for later.

United States Champion Antonio Cesaro beat Kofi Kingston.

Kane, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow is up next.

Orton hit a RKO on Sandow and got the win for his team.

Team Hell No hugged Orton after the match but he shook it off.

Primo vs. The Miz is up next. Miz wins with a Figure Four leglock.

SmackDown, Airing December 28th:

Sheamus kicks off SmackDown and says his New Year's resolution is to become World Heavyweight Champion. He calls out Big Show to the ring. Show comes out and says Sheamus won't be getting a title shot. Sheamus came for a fight and Booker T comes out. Show says Sheamus and nobody else in the locker room is worthy of a shot. Booker says the name of every Superstar will go into a tumbler and whoever gets picked will face Show for the title later tonight.

The entire locker room comes out to see who gets the title shot. Santino Marella's name is picked and he will face Big Show later tonight for the World Heavyweight Title.

>> The Miz kicks off this week’s SmackDown with another episode of MizTV. He actually gets a decent reaction. Miz talks about Dolph Ziggler and brings out his guest – John Cena.

>> The segment ends up interrupted when AJ Lee and then Dolph Ziggler comes out. We see recaps of the segments at RAW and then out comes Vickie Guerrero and she’s upset. Vickie promises it’s not over for AJ and Cena.

>> Ryback squashed Darren Young. Titus O’Neil, who was on commentary, came in to confront Ryback after the match but got hit with Shell Shocked.

>> R-Truth defeated Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match.

>> Still to come is Big Show vs. Team Hell No plus Kofi Kingston vs. Damien Sandow.

>> Alberto Del Rio beat Sin Cara by submission. Cara’s blue lighting was back for this match.

>> Big Show defeated Kane and Daniel Bryan in a Handicap Match after Team Hell No were arguing. Kane and Bryan ended up taking Show out after the match. Sheamus and William Regal were shown watching the match from a sky box in the crowd.

>> Kofi Kingston beat Damien Sandow in another strong match. Wade Barrett, who was on commentary, cut a promo after the match and declared that the Intercontinental Title will soon be his.

>> It’s announced Michael Cole will interview Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins on RAW.

>> Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton with a roll up in the main event. Ziggler got the roll up after blocking a RKO. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez ran in and Orton hit RR with a RKO. Del Rio escaped. On the ramp, John Cena came out and attacked Ziggler from behind. Cena put Ziggler in the STF to end it.

Main Event Announced For Next Week's SmackDown

Next Tuesday's SuperSmackDown Live will feature Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

What Happened After SmackDown

The dark main event after last night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Fayetteville, North Carolina saw Sheamus come out and issue a challenge to World Heavyweight Champion Big Show.

Sheamus ended up knocking Show out with a Brogue Kick to end the tapings.

The Miz defeated Yoshi Tatsu.

Booker T has gathered Eve Torres, Aksana, Layla and Kaitlyn backstage. Aksana says Eve made her attack Kaitlyn. Teddy comes in and chimes in. Booker announces Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn for Hell In a Cell and Eve & Aksana vs. Layla & Kaitlyn for tonight.

Wade Barrett beat Randy Orton after distraction from Alberto Del Rio.

John Cena addressing the AJ Lee controversy is announced for the Hell in a Cell Youtube pre-show.

Backstage segment with Sheamus and Booker T.

Damien Sandow beat Daniel Bryan with Kane and Cody Rhodes on commentary. There was a big brawl at ringside.

Sheamus, Big Show and Josh Mathews do a face-off in the ring for Hell In a Cell. There are a dozen or so security guards around the ring. They cut promos on each other until Sheamus broke through security and attacked Show. Security got involved but Show and Sheamus cleared the ring. Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick on Show but he escaped the ring and left up the ramp laughing. Sheamus hit a Brogue on one of the guards to end the show.

Spoilers: WWE SmackDown Tapings – 10/19/2012

##  Randy Orton defeated The Miz. Orton won with the RKO around the ten-minute mark. Orton received a huge pop. Del Rio was in a luxury box watching the match to play up his own match with Orton at Hell in a Cell.

Backstage, Sheamus talked to Teddy Long and asked for a rematch with Wade Barrett. Teddy booked them in a lumberjack for later in the show.

##  Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow beat Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. Rhodes Scholars won a three-minute glorified squash.

Booker, Teddy and Eve were shown talking backstage. Eve took credit for the lumberjack match idea and made Teddy look bad.

##  Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated Big Show and Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. Ziggler and Show worked over Bryan for about ten minutes until he made the hot tag to Kane. Bryan tagged back in and locked Ziggler in the No! Lock for the submission victory. Rhodes Scolars came out and attacked Team Hell No as they were celebrating/arguing on the stage.

##  Antonio Cesaro defeated Ted DiBiase in a non-title match. Ted DiBiase entered his same old music. A video aired of Cesaro in front of Sun Studio. He ran down Memphis and Elvis for cheap heat. Cesaro won in three minutes with the Neutraliz

3MB made their way to the ring. They called themselves the greatest group in WWE. Drew McIntyre popped a few eardrums with his Axl Rose impression. Out came Brodus Clay for a match against Slater.

##  Heath Slater beat Brodus Clay. Slater won in three minutes after distractions from Mahal and McIntyre.

##  Layla beat Natalya. Eve was on commentary for the match.

The lumberjacks came out for the main event.

##  World Hvt. Champion Sheamus defeated Wade Barrett in a lumberjack match. The lumberjacks started brawling per usual, then Team Hell No showed up to brawl. Amidst the confusion, Sheamus hit the brogue kick on Barrett for the win.

Ziggler hit his finisher. He tried to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but Big Show hit the KO punch and said at the end of the show that he would win the belt and that the same fate would happen to him as it did to Ziggler.

Dark Segment

Sheamus vs. Big Show for the World Hvt. Championship never got started. The two brawled until Sheamus hit White Noise and the Brogue Kick to send the crowd home happy.
